Magalies Honors SGF’s 50th Anniversary with Yellowwood Tree Planting

Magalies is a proud member of www.sgf.org who is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year!

SGF is based in Germany, and each stage in our raw-material production process is audited annually by them within the framework of the Voluntary Control System (VCS) .

In celebration, we have decided to plant a South African Yellowwood tree (Podocarpus latifolius) in our own Head-Office garden in Brits, North West Province, to acknowledge and praise their monumental contribution to the global fruit juice industry for half a century now!

The beautiful Yellowwood, an evergreen tree, is South Africa’s national tree and a protected species, that grows up to 35m high and 3m trunk diameter. It is a slow-growing tree, but exceptionally long-lived and forms wood of extraordinary quality.

Congratulations SGF, to continuous growth in the next 50 years!
